How it is priced
Superyacht charter is strictly by quote. The proposal sets out the yacht, the crew, the Advance Provisioning Allowance and the MYBA agreement in full before you commit. Tell our brokers the dates and the occasion, and they will present the right yachts.

On a superyacht the charter fee covers the yacht and its full crew; fuel, food, dockage, communications and similar costs run through the Advance Provisioning Allowance, typically lodged before the charter and reconciled afterwards. For the September shows and the summer event weeks the finest yachts and the best berths are committed months in advance, so early conversations matter. On top of the rate: the APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance), 25 to 35% of the base price — fuel, food, drinks and harbour dues, reconciled against receipts at the end of the charter (median across surveyed MYBA listings: 35%) — and French VAT at 20%, in principle due on the whole charter fee since 1 November 2020 for a charter in French waters. The crew gratuity recommended by the MYBA is 5 to 15% of the charter fee.

What is included in the price, and what is the APA?
The rate covers the boat and its crew. Fuel, food, drinks and harbour dues go through the APA — a provision of 25 to 35% of the rate (median 35% across MYBA listings), reconciled against receipts at the end of the charter. French VAT at 20% applies to a charter in French waters; the customary MYBA gratuity is 5 to 15%.
Do I need a boat licence to charter a yacht in Cannes?
Not for a skippered or crewed charter: the professional captain holds the qualifications and runs the boat. A licence recognised in France is only required if you charter bareboat and skipper the boat yourself.
